The minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, James Browne, has signed the Presidential Election 2025 Order setting 24th October 2025 as the date for the Presidential Election.   The full text of the order is available by clicking the following link.

 

If you are 18 years of age or older and wish to apply to work at the forthcoming Presidential Election on 24th October, then you can complete an application form by clicking on "Apply for Work" in the menu at the top left hand side of this webpage.   

NB: Persons canvassing on behalf of any candidate in the election are NOT eligible to work.   This includes comments made on social media.

The Polling Scheme being used for the General Election on 29th November 2024 can be viewed by clicking the following link.    The Polling Scheme lists the polling stations being used for the election and the portions of the electoral register assigned to each place.
